The 2021 bookshop crawl takes place entirely online and runs for an entire week. Below you can find daily activities, all of which are completely free. To make sure you don't miss anything sign up for our daily round ups during the event.
Daily Events
5 Quick Things
Daily interviews on Youtube and Instagram with booksellers, bookshop crawlers, authors and bookish folk in general answering 5 book related questions and giving bookshop and book recommendations
Daily Bookshop Features
Every day during the bookshop crawl we will be featuring 3-5 bookshops on our social media channels. Make sure you're following our Instagram and Twitter accounts to keep up with the participating shops and what they'll be offering for bookshop crawl participants.
Daily Round Up
Given that this is likely to be a slightly different bookshop crawl than we're used to, we'll be sending out daily round up emails to our mailing list with details of everything that's gone on that day, plus some other fun things!

Bookselling During a Pandemic
A discussion with Oliver Cable, bookseller at Word on the Water about how the pandemic has changed the way that they sell books, looking at the positive changes as well as negative effects.
Chaired by Bex Hughes of Ninja Book Box.

The Big Bookish Quiz Live (ish)
On Saturday 13th February at 7.30pm we will be hosting The Big Bookish Quiz Live on our Youtube channel!
Come along and answer some fun bookish questions. There will be a Literary London round, and lots more. Suitable for all ages, the event will last roughly an hour.
Sunday 14th February
A Conversation with Books for Change 7.30pm
A discussion with campaigners Emily and Wendy, the founders of Books for Change, about the brilliant work that they're doing to increase access to diverse books in schools, and the importance of reading in general. Hosted by Emma Gaynor of Freebird.
This will be shown on our Youtube channel.

Monday 15th February
Reading Hour
6.30pm - 7.30pm
Silent reading party time! Join us for an hour of reading together in an appropriately distanced way

Bookshop crawl organiser Rhys is in conversation with novelist SJ Watson, talking about what he likes most about bookshops, how lockdown has affected his writing, and his new book as well as his answers to our 5 Quick Things!

Children's Literature Panel

Join our panellists on Youtube to discover more about the wonderful world of children's literature.

Closing Ceremony!
